The final event of Season 1 featured 38 players, including 4 new players. All eyes where on SMOSH16 to see if he would hold on to the lead, or would league creator DEVERTROY catch him..SMOSH would just need to finsih 25th or better to clinch-and that is exactly what he did..SMOSH16(Ian Kilpatrick) wounded up in 10th place, but good enough to capture the title of League Champ for Season 1. Player BOBBYRIOT finally knocked out Smosh just after 11pm.

 

AS we make our way to the final table, we have two of the new players (Whardin73 and SaintMag) along with some league vets Painterhands, Orvwiz and Belle 3...Also at the table is previous event winner DavilleBlond..Should be a tough final table.

 

Out in 9th place is DavilleBlond(Chasity Galey) as her pocket QQ is rivered by the QK call of MIMO369...Out in 8th is OrvWiz(Orville Zoeller) as he is knocked out my probable future daughter in-law BELLE3(Carmine Douglas)..Orv was shortstacks, pushed with 5 8 clubs, but no help against the 9J clubs of Belle3...Down to 7, and rookie SAINTMAG(Maggie Neville) is out, as she mucks her cards after Whardin73 shows A 10, with an A on board.....Down to 6, RWALTER is out next as his 55 is crushed by 99 of WHardin73...The final 5 all make money, but BOBBYRIOT gets the smallest amount as he is out in 5th when his pocket 44, is up against 66 of BELLE3...Bell3 is next out in 4th when where AK, was outfrawn by the K9 of Whardin73..9 comes on the turn, but Belle3 was a good sport about it as she is finished in 4th..Down to 3 players, and MIMO369 is out in 3rd as he is called by PAINTERHANDS(Jerry Lanham)..MIMO had 10 4, and Painterhands had 45..Flop was 345..NO help for MIMO and we are down to FINAL TWO....NEW PLAYER WHARDIN73 (sorry no info on him yet) vs Jerry Lanham(Painterhands)...Painterhands has played in ALL 15 events, and is a successful painter from Okolona...Painterhands has cashed several times in tournaments in Ceasars Indiana......As we now discuss the play, both players traded chips for about 20 min...A HUGE hand came down, when PAINTERHANDS had A9, and WHardin had 33....PAINTERHANDS wins the 50K pot when a 9 comes on the turn..That cripples WHARDIN, and PAINTERHANDS WINS EVENT 15 WHEN HIS J6 WAS good enough against the ALL IN hand of 8 10 by WHARDIN73.

Event 14 brought some new faces into the LousivillePokerLeague, as well as old faces in which havent played in the past couple of events..1st event in a while in which we broke over 40 players, as tonight we had 46 players do battle. At stake is a spot in the upcoming Tournament Of Champions...Smosh16 was overall points leader going into the event, with 3 players not very far back........We will get right down to buisness as early on, Pokeypuppy(2nd overall in points) is ousted by player Nrshum when puppy went all in with AQ after a flop of 10 A 6...Nrshum turns over A 10, and puppy is out in 30th place, not picking up any points...Can DeverTroy catch up, or will Smosh16 pullaway with the points lead???...Several of the new players made an impression tonight such as 'LouEvil502','kimrueben',mimo369, and Aremteinc as the new players where taking out some of the regulars left and right.....At the break 29 of the 46 players remained as new player LouEvil502 was the chip leader 6635 in chips, followed by Kytnichlas was next 6305........After the break, Kytnichlas picked up the BOUNTY by knocking out last events winner NEEVAR, which finsihed in 18th place....before neevar went out though, player 'mello8388' sucked out on DeverTroy(3rd in overall points)..Dever had QQ..flop of J 8 4, and Mello goes all in with AJ..Jack came on the turn, and Dever is ousted in 19th..Smosh has a REALLY good chance of pulling away now..meanwhile, different players are trying to take down SMOSH, but Smosh wont have any of that, and continues to take chips from the players, small amounts at a time..These chips begin to accumalte, and before you know it, SMOSH16 is in top 3 in chips with only 12 players left......finally we make it down to the final table with just under 2 hours of play..Chip counts are as follows: kimreuben 12k,mello8388 11.5k, Tmodel 10.5k, Smosh16 8k, Nrshum 7.7k, Flowup 7.7k, birdymachine 7.7k, painterhands 2.8k, and Baseball16 2k...TO make a long story short, new player KIMREUBEN dominated the final table knocking out everyplayer but one(smosh eliminated baseball 16 in 6th place)....Kimreubens first victim was Painterhands(Jerry Lanham)..painterhands was shortstacked with a 4 5 and was quickly called by reubens QK..No help for Painter, and he is out in 9th....out in 8th was flowup went all in with the best hand of pocket 10's, but was out drawn with reubens A 10..Ace comes on the flop, and flowup is out in 8th.......7th place showdown we had a classic showdown when NRshum had AK suited vs the pocket QQ of reuben..No help for shum, and Reuben continues her dominance at the final table...6th place Smosh took out Baseball16(Shane Zoeller) when baseball had 9Qsuited vs AK...down to five players now, and SMOSH16 is starting to run away with the league points standing...next out is Mello838(Donnie Glass), has pocket 88's vs the most popular hand of the night AK of kimreuben..reubens continues to get lucky, and we are down to 4 players now..witin 5 hands, Kimreubens calls the all in bet of TMODEL50, as reuben now has KK vs 66..No help for Tmodel, and now down to 3 players...birdymachine is now the next victim of kimreuben when reuben makes a great call..birdymachine goes all in preflop with 10 4 suited, called by the 4 4 of reuben and we are now heads up between SMOSH16, and new player kimreuben...........these two players play heads up for about 30 minutes..reuben at one point has a 5-1 chip lead, but smosh comes back to even it up..these two players exchange chips back and fourth for a little while...Keep in mind, smosh has already qualified for the Tournament of Champions by winning event 12, so the pressure is on kimreuben..if she is to win, she could be in the tournament of champions by just winning the first event she plays in....Finally SMOSH16 defeats kimreuben with 6h 7d vs As 3c  board reads 4 8 10 7 2...SMOSH16 becomes the first 2 time winner in the LouisvillePokerLeague! with that, SMOSH has nearly CLINCHED the league overall points lead..Only Devertroy can catch SMOSH next event...Remember, overall points leader will get $215 seat in pokerstars tournament OR $215 in cash...Along with that, they get the trophey that is pictured on the homepage of the LouisvillePokerLeague.com website...All other money in the prize pool will be up for grabs in the Tournament Of Champions on July 26th.

36 players came out tonight, including 6 new players, to take part in the event 13 of the LouisvillePokerLeague...player SMOSH16(Ian Kirkpatrick) was overall points leader by 2 points over DEVERTROY going into event 13..How would the Aussie do under pressure???

 

 

Most of the players played ' tight 'until the hour break, as only 11 of the 36 players where elminated at the hour break..25 players at the break and new player TSWPOKER was chipleader with 4270, next was MONKEYDRIVE(henry wilbur) with 3680, not far behind in 3rd was POKEYPUPPY (julie) with 3220....Average chipstack was 2160, in which onl7 8 players where above average at the break.

 

As we got back to buisness, 4/5 players where out within 10miniutes......Everyone was looking to take out SMOSH16, in which had a bounty for winning last event...however the Aussie would stand tough defending the crown...Could we have a player win multi-event for the first time???

 

As we move ondown to 2 tables, some players where just trying to play to get points, while others where taking advantage of that by being 'super-aggressive'......Alot of eyes where on DEVERTROY, in which has been on top of the leaderboard all season,went down in 11th tonight managing only 75 points...old man KYKENNY(Kenny Webb) was on the bubble in 10th.

 

FINAL TABLE SET and we have familar faces in Pokeypuppy, in which has been in 8 final tables in 11 appaerances(AMAZING!), along side of the puppy, we have pointsleader SMOSH16(Ian)...Also joining the group with chipcounts are:  MonkyDrive  13k, Birdymachine 9k, Gcards1 7.3k, La$tChip 6.4, Weezal  4.6, KYGUY(new player) 3.8, and Neevar(Bill Amshoff) 2.7.

 

About 15 minutes of final table before new player KYGUY went down in 9th when he went ALLIN with 5 8 suited against Birdymachine A4..No help for KYGUY, and the newbie is out in 9th....next out 8th is WEEZAL(Joel Peddle). Weezal has gotten the reputation as being the 'shittalker' of the league, however regardless WEEZAL has already gotten a bid into the TOC(tournament of champions)...Weezal with QK up agsinst 4 5 suited of GCARDS1(George)..Gcards1 finally gets lucky and outdraws the weezal...**GCARDS has played in all 13 events!!..Down to 7 players and the POKEYPUPPY from Minnesota is ousted by BIRDYMACHIJNE..Puppy played smart all night, as usall, but got was up against AQ with her 10 J...DOWN TO 6 PLAYERS , and SMOSH16 is still alive and starting to get a healthy chip stack.Each place now, SMOSH will pick up alot of ground in the points standings....SMOSH then knocks out the next 2 players..Out in 6th is MONKYDRIVE(Henry Wilbur) Monkey has JK, and SMOSH has A5..Ace hits.....Monkey finsihs just short of the money..In 5th is GCARDS1(who cashed for the first time in 13 tries) Gcards gas Q6, but SMOSH has the ace 6, and an ACE hits again..Down to 4 players..SMOSH16,BIRDYMACHINE, LA$TCHIP, AND NEEVAR.

 

To alot of players delight, SMOSH is now out of the tournament thanks to Bryan Burns(LA$TCHIP)..SMOSH has J2, and LA4TCHIP has J10..SMOSH IS GONE in 4th. La$tChip gets the bounty for 20 extra points..La$tchip played in only his 4th LPL event from Atlanta tonight...his girlfriend(who also plays in the league) Roxiehasit was cheering him on the whole way..Down to 3 now, and player BIRDYMACHINE is knocked out by La$tChip when A5 is outdrawn by A3..Down to 2 players now..LA$TCHIP and NEEVAR(Bill Amshoff).....Both players steal each others blinds for about 10 minutes..LA$TCHIP has the better hand preflop with A7, and is up against the A6 of NEEVAR(AL Bundy picture)..A 5 6 FLOP, then a blank on the turn..to add insult to injury a 6 comes on the river to give NEEVAR a full house to capture EVENT 13 of the LouisvillePokerLeague.

NEEVAR gets an automatic bid into the TOC for his hardwork.

32 players came out to do battle in the LouisvillePokerLeague Event 11...Only the 2nd event that has less than 40 players..We could blame it on many of things like the nice weather, The Americal Idol finals show etc...The main thing is that the players who played tonight all had a good time..Perhaps the players are waiting for season 2 to begin.....In tonights game, last events winner 'Cathaleon' did not play, so obviously there was no bounty tonight....IronMike26 came into tonights game with a slim 4 point lead over DeverTroy....about 30min. into the event, IronMike26 went ALLIN preflop with 10 10, and was called by 'Painterhands' Jerry Lanham holding QQ, IronMike26(Mike Smith) was knocked out in 26th place meaning he would get ZERO points for this event, giving the players in the top 10 in points a chance to move up.....Players 2nd-8th in total points all picked up points tonight, including DeverTroy who made it to his 3rd final table...Dever finsihed in 9th place as he was called by Cww69 when the board read 9 6 10 9..Dever held 10 J and Cww A 7...Ace on the river, and Dever is out in 9th.....Down to 8 players..Chip counts as follows  Smosh16(11.5k) Monkeydrive(6.9k), DavilleBlond(6.6k),Gcards1(5.5k), Carls4603(3.9k),Flowup(3.7k), Belle3(3.6k)...........Next out in 8th was GCARDS1 when his AK was called by pocket 88 of monkeydrive..Monkey flopped 4 8 Q, turned another 8 for quad 8's!..Down to 7, and next out was Cww69(whom was rather loose to say the least) all in with 10 Q unsuited, called by Smosh16 with AK..No help for Cww69, and we are now down to 6 with the aussie Smosh16 in a comaning chip lead.....Out in 6th was LMPD's Belle3. Unfortunetly I didnt get to document this hand as I was away from the computer..I caught the tailend of it, and did see she was put out by player 'monkeydrive'(just in case she wants to press charges :-/).......The next 5 players where all ousted by the same player, Carls4603.....Carls went on a roll knocking out 'Flowup' when flowup was caught bluffing..Carls Ace HIGH was enough to win the hand, flowup had to settle for 5th place prize money...Next out was previous winner DavilleBlond(john and chasity galey)...Daville had 10 k, and Carls A 5..flop of A9A pretty much eliminates Daville in 4th....Down to 3 for about 20 min...Monkeydrive is next out in 3rd when his A7 is called by AQ of Carls........Carls wins a couple nice pots from Smosh16, then finally elimantes the future WSOP player when SMosh has 2 6 suited vs A7 of Carls4603  board reads 96744...Carls4603 is Event 11 champion!!

52 Players tonight for event 8 of the LouisvillePokerLeague. With the shirts/hats/visors made, we are starting to get some players. Tonight we had 8 new players, however none of the 8 made the final table tonight.....Early in the tournament, player 'Lotsotickets' knocked out points leader 'Mello8388' when Lotsotickets chased an ACE to the river to complete his straight, and by Mellos exit-he drops from 1st to 3rd in the points standings....Lotsotickets continues to dominate early by also knocking player 'Belle3"(Carmine Douglas) who was 4th in points...Half the field was gone at the hour break, including last events winner ZERBAHEAD. World Cup player Arzcardzfan(Steve) got the bounty this week....At the hour break, chip leader was 'Catkygirl'(Kathy Martinez) with 7605in chips. 2nd was PROSETTER(Darrel Johnson)with 6550..Play lasted a little more than an hour before we established the final table...PAINTERHANDS(Jerry Lanham) finished on the bubble out in 9th...At the final table was 2 previous event winners in PROSETTER and DEVERTROY...ALso, players 2nd(DeverTroy) and 3rd(IronMike26) overall in points was at the final table. Chipleader at the final table was 'lotsotickets' with 24k, next was Silverfox8 with 12k...First out of the final table was California resident XLOFIRE when the pocket 22 went up agaist ANDIE22 AK. Andie caught a King on the flop....8thplace finisher was Mike Smith(IronMIke26) when he tried to push his A2, but was quickly called by the AK of 'SilverFox8).......In 7th was DEVERTROY, when he reraised ANDIE22. ANDIE showed A7, and Dever has AJ...ANDIE gets lucky and hits a 7 on the flop, and Dever is out in 7th. However Dever moves to 1st overall in points standings after getting points in 7 of 8 events so far......6th place was Prosetter(Darrel Johnson) when his pocket 99 went up against 10 Kclubs of Lotsotickets. Lotsotickets hits K on the river and we are now down to five....Next out in 5th is Frank Seay(OCEAN) who designed our league shirts/hats. Frank had the better hand of 89 going in, but was called by ORVWIZ with 56. Flop J53, and no help for Ocean....Down to 4 players: Chipcounts Andie22-28k  Lotsotickets-23k SIlverfox8-16k  Orvwiz-7k.......ANDIE22 picks up a monster pot when he had Lotsotickets dominated pre-flop when we had AK vs AJ..Lotsotickets is out in 4th......3 players left, and ORVWIZ(Orville Zoeller) is out inthe 3rd-short stacked he went with K8suited,and was called by SILVERFOX8 A7. Flop of J97 K 6 and we are down to TWO.......We have SILVEFOX9 playing in only 2nd event. Last event was his first when he finsihed in 3rd..So two starts, with both finishes in the top 3 VERY IMPRESSIVE... SILVERFOX8 is up against ANDIE22(Andy Clements). I dont know much about either player, and neither complied with request to send info....Pretty even in chips until Andie22 picks up a 76k pot when his K7 outdraws the A10 of Silverfox8..That hand cripples Silverfox, and puts him below 2k in chips, compared to 76k of Andie....Aniie22 continues to get lucky and catches 'Runner-Runner' in the final hand and wins EVENT 8 of the Louisville Poker League.....We are now halfway done with the league, and have reached 110 players overall. AWESOME JOB folks!

Event 7: 53 players showed up this last Wednesday of March to battle in event 7 of the Louisvillepokerleague. 7 new faces joined the league, trying to capture the $159 1st place prize for tonights game.....Very Early on, the two points leaders did battle early on, as player 'DeverTroy'(2nd in points) took out Points Leader 'IronMike26' when Dever's KK held up again the QQ of IronMike..Mike finsihed in 47th place, and recieved zero points..Leaving the door open for a new points leader...Players where dropping like flies before the break, and at break time we where already down to just 30players..Before the break however, an Interesting hand to say the least came up between players 'Cookiemanlh'(Larry Highland) and 'Bubblegumm'(Leslie Gumm)..Cookie shows 88, and Bubble AJ...Flop of 5 8 J, and Cookie is total control, right? WRONG!! Bubblegumm hits running Jacks, to connect on QUAD JACKS..That hand didnt knock thecookieman out of the event, but hurt his chipstack quite a bit....At the break, 30 players remain, and 3 of the top 7 where all new faces..Chipleader was player 'Wackster')was refered by Frank S.(Ocean).......After about 5 minutes of play, and 'Monkydrive' is just short of making points as his 77 is outdrawn by 'Weezal76' 55, as a 5 comes on theflop..The rest of the field gets points~!.....PLay resumes for about 20 minutes, before last events champ DeverTroy is knocked out and new player 'Sandbergfan'(Brent Blades) calles Devers all-in..Dever has QQ, but Brent has KK........Plays continues for about 15minutes, before former winner 'Weezal76'(Joel) is out on the bubble by none other than Sandbergfan...Some smacktalk begins between the two, and Tournament officials calls for security to break up the talk....Now we are at the final table..Sandbergfan is chipleader with 23k, and next is 'Orvwiz'(Orville Zoeller) making his 1st final tablewith 17k...Player 'Pokerpuppy'makes her 4th final table in only five tries....5 minutes of play before player 'mello8388'(Donnie Glass) takes out new player 'wackster' when Donnie hits a set of 7's on the flop-no match for AQ of wackster....Out in 8th was Jermiah19..The 20yr.old was shortstacked most of the late rounds. Jermiah took a chance with Q6Diamonds, and "Zebrahead"(Greg Gumm) 33 holds up......A bad beat for Norman Ross(BillWeaver) He has 10c Jd, Mello8388 calls his all in with 10h Js..Four hearts come for Mello, and Weaver is sent dreamin in 7th.....New Player 'SilverFox8' started picking momentum in the middle stage of the Finaltable..Silverfox8 knocks out Minnesotas 'Pokerpuppy' when Silvers 10 J seems to be the hand tonight knocking out the A9 suited of Pokerpuppy....Young, but expierenced player, 'Sandbergfan' Brent Blade got kind of careless with his chips, and is next out in 5th when his pockets 44 is dominated by SilverFox pocket 77. A 7 comes on the turn, and Sandberg is out in 5th cashing in first louisvillepokerleague event. Down to 4 players,and these 4 do battle for atleast 45 minutes..Back and fourth..back and fourth..I looked at the clock at 11:45, and the chip counts where as followed: Silverfox 23.6k  Mello8388 23.5k   Zebrahead  21.1k  Orvwiz 9.4k...........Finally someone makes a move..I caught the tale end of the hand, I seen mello have AQ vs Zebraheads KK..No help for the realtor Mello8388, and he is out in 4th....Zebrahead is now the chipleader..Down to 3 players....3 or 4 hands later, Zebrahead takes out Silverfox when Zebra has A5 off suit, and SilverFox has 77..A flop of 6AA, and silverfoz tried to buy the pot with in all-in bet, hoping Zebra doesnt have an ACE..Unfortently for the fox, zebra does and silverfox is out in 3rd...HEADSUP now between 'Zebrahead' (Greg Gumm) who is a manager here is Louisville. I dont know much about Greg except for he graduated from Butler HS, and is a tremendous bowler. He has a brother and a sister who also play in the league...His opponet is 'OrvWiz' (Orville Zoeller)..Orville is married with 5 sons(all grown)..Electrican and president of a local baseball league.   This headup match is over in ONE HAND..Zebra has KK, and Orvwiz A4...No ace and Greg Gumm is Event 7 winner..Congrats Zebrahead!!

 

 

March 2nd, 2006  Event 5:

 

 55 players registered tonight for the LouisvillePokerLeague. The points leader in tonights event recieved $50.00 from our league prize pool. Mello8388(Donnie G) had a 70 point lead going in, but would it be enough? All Donnie had to do was finish in top 25 and get some points, and he had pretty much locked...would that happen?????

 

 After about 30 minutes of play, there was already about 10 players knocked out of the event that featured 14 new players, including four from the California League that I won last year.....With about 45 minutes into the tourney, to many of our surprises, Points Leader Mello8388 got all his chips in pre-flop with a good starting hand of QQ, however he ran into New player "Van03' Dan English AA...This hand proved to be 'The Battle of The Realtors' as both players are successful realtors. Donnie G for Remax and Dan E for Semion so if any one is looking for a home, look these players up..Email me for their contact info...Anyhow back to the hand, VAN03 AA held up, and Mello is out in 35th place! This leaves the door wide open for about 5 or 6 player to capture the $50 prize...2nd in points was John Kelly(TKeax1153), however he was ousted in 28th place when his pocket 88 was no good vs player 'XLOfire' A7..Ace came on the flop, and now our two points leaders are both gone before we reach the top 25....3rd in points was Mike Smith(IronMike26), he was down 91 points going into tonights event, so he needed to come in 7th or better to clinch the prize, or it was going to Mello8388.......As we make our way down to the final table, California League Player 'kartracer' knocks out last events champ 'prosetter' for the 20 point bounty.....Player Jermiah Thompson(Jermiah19) knocks out three players in a row, and now we are down to the FINAL TABLE. (*player monkey drive finished on the bubble)..Final table consist of 4 players from Louisville, 1 from another city in Ky, 1 from California, 1 from Ohio, 1 from Australia, and maybe most impressively, the 1 from Minnesota that has been in 3 events and made the final table in ALL THREE(pokeypuppy)....Iron Mike is shortstacked going into the final table, but that didnt stop his aggressive play.....Going out in 9th place was Pokerpuppy as her 10 J suited gets no help against the pocket 99 of Jermiah 19.....Down to 8, and Shane Zoeller(Baseball16) is next to go when his A4 is dominated preflop to Van03 AJ.....We play for about 25 minutes before another player is elimanted..One key hand that came up was the All in of PKM-258 was called by CMYOUNG4..PKM turns over AA to CMYOUNG4 JJ..PKM doubles up, and CM is left with just below 1000chips...CMYOUNG is next to go out, when he has JQ up against Jermiah19 JK  A jack came on the turn, but the K kicker elimnates CMYOUNG in 7th.....Down to 6 now, next to go is the Aussie from down under, Smosh 16 has K6....Van03 plays a marginal 4 8 suited, and hits it on the turn..Smosh gone in 6th.....With a battle of 5 players for about 20 min, Jermiah19 is next out when his buddy Iron MIke puts him with a AJ vs 10 Q...IronMike locks up the point lead, and is rewarded with $50 cash into his account...Down to 4 players, 2 from Louisville-1 from Cali, 1 from Ohio..Will it be the first time a player from Louisville has not won the event???

Player WEEZAL76 knocks out Valleyrc.com league coordinator PKM-258..WEEZAL had pocket 66, and PKM mucks after a nasty flop..PKM finished in 3rd..At this point, Weezal has a commanding chip lead...Three hands later, Weezal pushes in with a K2..a questionable call by VAN03 Q9 offsuit, no help for VAN03, and the new player is out in 3rd place..An impressive debuy though for Dan English.....

Down to the Final 2...Mike Smith(IronMike26) , a pharmacy student at UK agianst player WEEZAL76 from Akron Ohio..I dont know WEEZAL's name, I just know he is a strength/conditioning coach in Akron....Weezal didnt take long to show his strength to Ironmike, in two hands, the event was over when Weezal showed pocket 99 to IronMike K7..Weezal flopped a set of 9's, and is LouisvillePokerLeague Event 5 winner and takes the $165.00 first place prize.

A record 51players showed up to play in event#4 of the LousivillePokerLeague last night..Of the 51 players, 14 of them where new, so first and foremost I would like to tell everyone THANK YOU for spreading the word and recruiting. For the first time, the money was paid out to the top 9 players, instead of the usual 5..Pokerstars.com payouts are based on number of players entered into the tourney. 45 or less players will pay top 5, 46-99 will pay top 9..If we ever get over 100 players, I will quit my day job and seek a job being a poker promoter! lol.....................Really good quality of poker players in our league, as I was trying to watch all the tables going on, I didnt really see too many bad calls/plays.......We played for almost 2 hours before our final table was reached..."RiverQueen61' went out on the bubble in only her 2nd event(1st event, she came in 9th)...Final table featured our current points standing leader in 'Mello8388'(Donnie Glass). Out of the 9 players at the Final Table, five of them was new to the Final Table, and one player 'Amcglaun'(Amanda M.) was in her first event of the season......When the Final Table started, 'ComeBeU' had the chip lead with 18k in chips, DLDL with 14k and Prosetter with 13k....'Ironmike26'(Mike Smith) and 'Pokerpuppy' was the shortstack at the table with 2.5k in chips.......1st player out was in fact 'IronMike26' as his pocket 88 was up against Zebraheads(Greg Gumm) AQ..A queen came on the turn, and IronMike is out in 9th...However, IronMike wasnt too upset because he picked up the 20 point bounty for knocking out previous event winner 'Disruptor108' in a 10-A vs K-J showdown..No help for the K-J, and IronMike picks up the extra 20 points.....AQ seemed to be the hand to play at the final table, as Amcglaun played that hand agianst 'pokerpuppy' pocket QQ, when the Ace came, the puppy was sent to the doghouse in 8th place.....In a bizarre hand to me, a flop of 6-4-3, chipleader ComeBeu bets at the pot, Player 'DLDL'(Darrell) raises, then Comebeu re-rasies all-in..DLDL calls, and ComeBEu is caught bluffing with a K-J vs DLDL 88...DLDL picks up a monster pot of $27.5k, and takes the chip lead..ComebeU is out in 7th..........six players played for about 30min...I announced 4 from Louisville, 2 from Hoosierland..Will there be a "hoosier" to win this event for the first time, Player 'ProSetter'(Darrell Johnson) said NO!...So as the game continued after the break, one hoosier put the hoosier out when DLDL had AJ, versus the attractive Amcglaun A9..No help for the lady, and she is ousted in 6th.........Next to go in 5th was 'TKeax1153'(John Kelly) when his K9 didnt get no help against 'ZebraHeads(Greg Gumm) A6...Small pot for Zebra..John Kelly picks up enough points to move into 2nd place overall in standings......4players left, INCLUDING the points leader Mello8388....4 players battle for a little while, then Prosetter called the all-in of DLDL..DLDL holds JJ, and prosetter holds A-spades 9-diamonds..FLOP of three spades..turn is a spade,and Prosetter eliminates the other hooiser in 3rd place.....three players left, and the next hand was the biggest of the night   Mello8388 was in the BigBlind, so he called the small raise of Prosetter..Mello has 4 8, but we dont know that yet...flop is 8 Q 9 turn is a 8, dream card for Mello..He gets Prosetters money in the middle, but Prosetter, turns over the nuts in 10 J..Donnie needs a board to pair on the river, but gets no help and is out in 3rd..Prosetter picks up a 42,600 pot!...We are now heads up, and it didnt last long...Prosetter, had a 4-1 chiplead on Zebrahead......Prosetter(Darrell Johnson) vs ZebraHead(Greg Gumm)......Zebrahead was looking to go all-in with ANY ace, and he did...unfortunetly for him, Prosetter had the dream starting hand in AA....Prosetter WINS event #4 in only his second event..'ProSetter' Darrell Johnson is a professional welder of 20 years.

Event #3 featured 44 players, in which had 10 new faces.....Overall 29 players where from Louisville, including the final two players in 'disruptor108' and 'monkeydrive'......Last Events winner 'LRG8' was out quick when 'CookieManllh' knocked him..LRG8 was shortstacked from the start of the tournament, and never stood a chance..LRG8 did refer a new player (prosetter) who managed to make it the final table  and finished 8th..........The FINAL TABLE had 2 familar faces in BillWeaver and Ocean....MonkeyDrive had a monsterous 27K chipstack, compared to the 2nd chipstack of IronMike26 8k..Monkydrive got most of his chips midway through the tournament in a 'crazy hand' in which a total of 4 players where invovled..Monkeydrie turned over AA, vs Pocket QQ of MagicTiger and JJ of Ccafe...FLop of KK7 didnt help anyone...NO help for Tiger or Cafe so Monkydrive picks up a HUGE Chiplead and never looked back.....At the Final Table, new player 'RiverQueen61' was out in 9th when her A3 off suit didnt get any help from the dealer when 'TheVille' turned over pocket 88......Out in 8th was 'ProSetter' when her JJ was no match for BillWeavers KK.......T-shirt maker 'Ocean' was out in 7th when his AQ was dominated by 'disruptor108' AK...Monkedrive then went on a spree knocking out the next three players...Out in 6th was a new player from Minnesote 'PokerPuppy'. The puppy had a better starting hand in AK, but Monkeydrive continues to get lucky and draws out with a Q9 of clubs....Puppy is on the bubble in 6th....5th place, monkey had a gold horseshoe up his ass, as he gets lucky AGAIN when his 66 goes up against IronMike26 88...a 6 comes on the flop..Ironmikes cashes in 5th...4th place monkey actually has the best starting hand in KK and eliminates new player 'TheVille' in 7th when he has 77.....Down to 3 now...Minnesota's BillWeaver(Norman Ross) is done when K8 gets no help when Disruptor108 has AJ and hits an Ace on the flop....DOWN TO TWO...'Disruptor108'(Adam Westhusing), a student from Middletown vs 'MonkeyDrive'(Henry Wilbur) a banker from St.Matthews....Monkeydrive has a 3-1 chiplead as we start heads up, but disruptor hits a 32k pot when his AQ beats Money's AK....both players battle for about 8 minutes, before both players go all in pre-flop..disruptor shows A-10  monkeydrive K9  flop is 10-4-6 monkey doesnt hit his King...Adam is event #3 champ!  Adams's pic is on the website if you care to look.

40 players showed up tonight for event 2 of the Louisville Poker League...In the end, it was nine fresh faces at the final table, with player LRG8 winning the $160 1st place prize......Last events champion, BrownShark, was on the ropes most of the tournament and finally got knocked out in 16th when his pocket AA got run down by a 3 5 offsuit held by Aussie Smosh16....Smosh16 began dominating the final table, by knocking off previous chip leader 'MyTang'..Smosh held AA, and Mytang held AK...No help for MyTang,and he is eliminated in 9th....Pre-tourney favorite ArzCardzfan was next to go as his AQ was no match for AK held by Tkeax1153..Russracer was shortstacked throughout the final table, and was next out in 7th...Zack75 might have had the toughest beat at the final table, as he finished on the bubble with an AJ off suit, Tkeax also had AJ, but his where suited diamonds-you guessed 3 diamonds came, and Zack is just short of the money.....New Albany Indiana's "Ocean" cashes out in 5th place when his A3clubs gets no help against LRG8...With that 14K pot, LRG8 takes control of the tourney....LRG8 takes down Smosh16 with a Q8, and hits a straight...Smosh16 lost most of his chips in a previous hand to Belle3..Belle hit runner K K to win the 23,600 pot.....This set up the showdown for the final 3. All three players from LOUISVILLE...After exchanging chipleads for about 20 min., LRG8 and Tkeax get it all in with 10 J suited vs A2 suited..A2 holds up,and we are how heads up with LRG8 and Belle3(Carmine D.).....At the beginning, LRG8 had a 2 to 1 chiplead against the sexy Belle3..Belle3 got in position to win, before her A8 lost to the 10 8 of LRG8 as LRG hits a Q on the river to hit the gutshot staright draw to win the 2nd event of the Louisville Poker League.....

*Tourney Notes- 24 new players this week(thanks for coming out, hope to see you back out at next events)....16 players who played in Event#1   The #2,#4,#5 points leader from event 1 did not play this week, leaving the door wide open for the point lead.
